Mr. Julian Franklin Marsh, age 68, of Freeman Street, Jackson, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Open Arms Personal Care Home surrounded by his family. Mr. Marsh was born in Juliette, Georgia on October 30, 1944 to the late Robert Lee Marsh and the late Verlin Campbell Marsh. He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert N. Marsh and Cecil Marsh; and a sister, Laverne Bell. Mr. Marsh was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Otis Elevator Company. Mr. Marsh was a member of the Towaliga Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing sports earlier in life, and later enjoyed playing golf. He loved his family and church very much, and he especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Mr. Marsh is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathy W. Marsh; daughters and sons-in-law, Alison and Randy Hutcheson, Tara and Reggie Collins; grandchildren, Morgan Hutcheson, Ansley Hutcheson, Logan and Chelsea Collins of Americus, GA, Rebekah Collins, and Garrett Collins; great-granddaughter, Kynslee Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Gayle Marsh of Hillsboro, GA, Larry and Diane Marsh of Labelle, FL, Terry Marsh of Juliette, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Julian Marsh will be conducted on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Towaliga Baptist Church. Reverend Jay Sanders will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
