Julian "Franklin" Smith, Jr . , 77, of  Barnesville, Georgia passed away, on Tuesday, July 01, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Franklin was born on Thursday, December 25, 1947, in Macon, Georgia to the late Julian Franklin Smith, Sr., and Millie Smith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vanessa Dale Smith.

Franklin loved spending time with his family and making memories. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed sharing sweet memories everywhere he went. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, and being on the water. He loved country and Christian music. Helping guests at Stone Mountain Park was always a joy for him. He loved farming all of his life. Above all he loved Jesus. He retired from Utility Trailer Sales of GA and was currently employed at Stone Mountain Park.

Franklin is survived by his wife of 19 years; Teresa Smith; children; Tammy Smith Bell (Danny O'Neal), Heather Smith, Justin Smith (Sarah), Christie Purdy (James), Renee Walker (Shannon), Shaun Jones (Jackie), Javier Arcon, Joanna Lewis (Zachary); 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy McBroom, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Julian "Franklin" Smith, Jr. will be on Tuesday, July 08, 2025, at 1:00 P.M Williams-Westbury Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Christopher officiating. The family will receive friends at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 08, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
