Mrs. Katherine "Kathy" Maxine Young McElheney, age 70, of Flovilla, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at her home.

Kathy was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late J.T. Young and the late Lucille Lummus Young.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry McElheney; son, JoJo Johnson; brother, Richard Young. She was a member of Rise Above Church. Kathy enjoyed crafts, baking, gardening, and traveling.

Kathy is survived by her son, Carl Young; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Raymond Edmonds, Natoma and Derwin Campos; several grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Rise Above Church with Pastor Danny Clark officiating. Inurnment will take place at Flovilla South Cemetery.
