Mrs. Tommie Katherine "Mama Didter" Cook Phillips, age 92, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Mrs. Phillips was born on May 1, 1922 in Jackson, Georgia to the late Tommie Lee Cook and the late Evye Thaxton Cook. She was preceded in death by daughter, Dianne Lewis; grandson, Jamie Rogers; sons-in-law, William Garland and Emmett Garland; brothers, Garland "Bubba" Cook, James "Woppy" Cook and Wendell Cook. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Sandra Rogers of McDonough, Keith and Jan Rogers of Jackson, Roy and Leisha Rogers of Covington; daughter, Kathy Garland of Locust Grove; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Sara Ruth Kitchens of Jackson, Billie Blandford of Ellenwood and Shirley Elrod of Stockbridge; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine "Mama Didter" Phillips will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and at other times at the home of Keith and Jan Rogers, 907D Halls Bridge Road, Jackson.
