Obituary

Katie Nell Roebuck Miller-Jones, age 83, of Jackson, GA, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014. She was born on December 20, 1930 in Covington, GA to the late Homer Lee Roebuck and the Curtis Alford Roebuck Pitts. Katie was a homemaker and a local business woman. She was a member of the Jackson Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Frank Miller, Sr. and Bennie Whitfield Jones, Sr.; son, William Frank (Butch) Miller, Jr.; step-father, William Gay Pitts; sisters, Sarah Alice Roebuck and Le Curtis (Tootie) Roebuck McMichael.

Katie is survived by her daughter, Kathy Miller; children of Bennie Whitfield Jones, Sr., Bennie Whitfield Jones, Jr. and Elizabeth Jones Fields; grandchildren, Michelle and Tim Patterson, Tami Henry, and Haley Lewis; great-grandchildren, Brad Patterson, Madelyn Patterson, Erin Wiley, Nicole Wiley, Kayla Reed, Alivia Reed, Rey Lewis, and Emma Osborne; great-great-grandsons, Carson Gordy and Brantley Patterson; nephews, Ted McMichael and Gay McMichael.

Funeral services for Katie Miller-Jones will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Jackson Presbyterian Church with Reverend Becky Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a contribution to the Jackson Presbyterian Church, Post Office Box 664, Jackson, GA 30233 in memory of Katie Miller-Jones.
