Mr. Kenneth Robinson “Ken” Wagers, Jr, age 82, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ken was born on Wednesday, January 5, 1944, in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Kenneth Robinson Wagers Sr. and the late Lucy Barkley Wagers. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Leo Hollis; and brother, Robert Wagers. Ken served proudly in the United States Air Force and later worked as an electronic technician aircraft mechanic for 45 years for Eastern and Northwest Airlines. Some of Ken’s treasured accomplishments were earning his Eagle Scout, serving as treasurer for National Union of Airline Mechanics, treasurer and Little League manager for Forest Park Recreation Center, Booster Club officer for Forest Park High School, adult volunteer for Strong Rock Christian School athletic program, and AARP income tax prep specialist. His greatest life lesson was to work hard, and his favorite family memories were attending and participating in all of his children’s activities and later his grandchildren’s. He enjoyed traveling, coin and stamp collecting, scouting, and being a genealogy extraordinaire. Ken was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Danna Wagers; children and spouses, Pam and Marty Chester, Kenny and Galyn Wagers; grandchildren, Trey and Audrey Wagers, Emily (Wagers) and Wess Kunz, Grace (Wagers) and Zach Kennedy, Jillian Wagers, Michael Wagers; great-grandson, Elliot Wagers; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Myrna Wagers; sister-in-law, Joy Wagers; and many extended family members.

A funeral service for Mr. Ken Wagers, Jr. will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Keith Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family welcomes everyone to join them for dinner and fellowship following interment at 204 Willow Ridge Lane, Jackson, Georgia 30233.
