Mr. Larry Bobby Jones, age 74, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Larry was born on Tuesday, May 8, 1951, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Bobby Jones and Mary Irene Goins Jones. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers; Richard Gilbert and Tom Jones, brother-in-law; Raiford Cannon and nephew; Jason Gilbert.  Larry was a generous man that provided meals to the homeless and less fortunate in his community.  He never met a stranger and was an anchor in the High Falls Community, where he ran the Lakeside Bait and Tackle store. He loved traveling and fishing and was quite the exceptional fisherman.  One of his favorite things to do was hosting Fish Fries for his family. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Jackson, Georgia for many years.

Larry is survived by his siblings; Janet Cannon, Barbara Buice (Joe), Vickie Neely, sister-in-law; Elaine Gilbert along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service for Larry Bobby Jones will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 3 P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Lamar Cole officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Larry will be laid to rest at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
