Mrs. Linda Carol McBroom Fogarty "Sister", 69, of Barnesville, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Fogarty was born August 18, 1945 in Barnesville, daughter of the late J.D. and Lucille Drake McBroom. She was a switchboard operator for Southern Bell and attended the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Mrs. Fogarty loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed listening to Gospel music.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert Fogarty; son and daughter-in-law, Carey and Stephanie Fogarty; two special grandchildren, Lauren Fogarty and Dalton Fogarty, all of Barnesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Nancy McBroom of Monticello, Terrell Wayne and Dinah McBroom of Barnesville, Tim McBroom and his fiancé, Becky Gullege, of Barnesville, Jimmy Woodall of Barnesville, and Louie and Joann Woodall of Flovilla; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Garth Forster, Dr. Marvin Royster and Dr. Lawrence Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
