Lloyd Michael Smith, age 68, of Barnesville passed away on March 17, 2018.

Michael was born on October 10, 1949 in Athens, Georgia, to Melvin E. and Lucille B. Smith and later graduated from Forest Park High School in Forest Park, Georgia. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army soldier in Vietnam. He went to retire from BellSouth in 2001.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Courtney (Cory), his beloved granddaughter, Kathryn; and siblings Melvin Smith Jr. (Sheryl) and Melba S. Bryant; along with a niece and several nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. Michael Smith will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Reverend Eddie Mathews officiating.
