Mr. Lloyd Lee Welch, age 88, of Barnesville passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in a Jonesboro Healthcare Facility. Mr. Welch was a native of Lamar County having been born to the late Mr. Joe W. Welch and the late Mrs. Bettyrena Godfrey Welch. He was a Veteran having served in WWII and was Retired from the U.S. Justice Department where he worked in the Prison System. Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his late wife Mrs. Martha Manry Welch, by a Son – Mr. Tommy Welch, and by a brother – Mr. Joe Welch.

Survivors include a Son – Larry (& Tonia) Welch ; a Daughter – Kay (& Edward) Reckart ; a Granddaughter - Donna McNeal ; other grandchildren, nieces, & nephews also survive.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Lloyd Lee Welch will be conducted at 1 O' Clock on Friday, December 23, 2011 in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the GA Sheriff's Youth Home, P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
