Life Legacy

Mrs. Lois Browning Carson, age 84, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her residence. Lois was born on Tuesday, January 17, 1933 in Stockton, GA to the late Frank Browning and the late Elizabeth Brogdon Browning. She was a member of Worthville Baptist Church. Lois loved to farm, do puzzles, going out to eat, shopping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Frank Carson, Sr.; sister, Jean Long; brother, Joe Browning.

Lois is survived by her children and their spouses, Vickie and Lanny Mason, Jeanne Standridge, Frank, Jr. and Robin Carson, Shirley and David Mathis, Sherry and Chris Byars; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Frances Loner, Callie Carson, Jean Carson, Elanor Browning; brother-in-law, Emmitt Long; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Carson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 in Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Dr. Rex Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
