Mr. Luther Bunn, age 83, formerly of Barnesville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at his daughter's residence. Mr. Bunn was a native of Lamar County, and lived in Barnesville practically all of his life. Son of the late Mr. Will Bunn and the late Mrs. Georgie B. Bunn, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Katherine Denton Bunn. Mr. Bunn had worked in the Spinning Room at Dundee Mills and had been a member of The Socostee Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include: 1 daughter - Beverly Bunn, and her husband, Johnny Adams of Conway, SC ; 3 Sons - Blake Luther Bunn of Zebulon, Emory Lyndon Bunn of Griffin and William Alan Bunn of Griffin ; 2 Sisters - Ethel Coker of Barnesville, & Ruby Bunn of Piedmont ; 2 Grandsons - Michael Blake Bunn & Bryan A. Bunn ; 1 Grand Daughter - Jammie R. Kembel ; 6 Great Grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Luther Bunn will be conducted Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 3 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery in Upson County. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28th from 6pm until 8pm.
