Mr. Luther Allen Davis, age 74, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his home in Barnesville. Mr. Davis was born in Griffin, Ga to the late Mr. Frank Davis Sr. and the late Mrs. Mae Elizabeth McCreary Davis. He is also preceded in death by his Grandson, Taylor Davis. Mr. Davis was a Diesel Mechanic for the Spalding County School System and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: Wife of 36years– Margarite Davis of Barnesville; Daughter – Toni Hale of Griffin; 2 Sons - Terry Davis (&Melissa) of Riverdale, and Tim Davis (&Joanne) of Barnesville; Step Daughter – Amelia Boyt Chambers (&Jack) of Yatesville; 2 Stepsons – Robin Lee Boyt (& Patsy) of Yatesville, and George Russell Boyt (& Rosa Bella) of Barnesville; Sister – Sue Pitts (& Jerome) of Griffin; Numerous Grand Children, Great Grand Children, Nieces, and Nephews. He is also survived by a special friend David Jones of Barnesville.

A Memorial service for Mr. Luther Allen Davis will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 O'clock at Lilla Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Rex Kessler officiating. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Scottish Rite Children's hospital
