Mrs. Lynette "Lynn" Moody Smith, age 70, of Jackson, GA, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. Lynn was born on December 31, 1946 in Rome, GA to the late James Arthur Moody and the late Vera Ruth Harris Moody. She was a computer specialist with the U.S. Forest Service. Lynn loved spending time with her family and friends. She also served her community by volunteering her time with various charities. Lynn enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Victory Quilting Guild of Jackson. She loved to travel and camp. Lynn enjoyed books, waterfall walks, and word games.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, George William Wesley Smith. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and John Adkins, Melissa and Tim Ebert, Melinda and Chad Mullikin; grandchildren, Tony, Corey, Pierce, Morgan, Drake, Scout; sister, Libby Cosby; brothers, Skip Moody, Ben Moody; aunt, Joyce Kay; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Lynn Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at her residence. In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions to the charity of your choice. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com
