Ms. Melinda Teresa Godwin, age 45, of Monroe, GA, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at Vitas Hospice in Stockbridge. She was born July 11, 1965 in Griffin to the late Julian "Red" and Janet Farrell Godwin. Ms. Teresa Godwin is survived by 2 sons, Craigon Hill and Jeffrey Kyle Godwin, both of Locust Grove; 3 brothers, James Godwin, of Locust Grove, Tracy Godwin, of Monroe, and Timothy Godwin, of McDonough; 4 sisters, Judy Moore, Debra Knissel and Jeannie Godwin, all of Jackson, and Sandra Sauls, of Lake City, GA; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, She is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Godwin, and sister, Wanda Kay Cook. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
