Obituary

Miss Marianna Weathers, a native of Barnesville, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 after a brief illness. Marianna was born April 3, 1925, daughter of the late Oscar Nathaniel and Nettie Caroline Stallings Weathers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, taught Sunday school, was a leader of the Young Women's Organization and the Young at heart. Marianna was a charter member of the Whispering Pines Garden Club over 50 years ago. She retired from Ban Lar Pontiac, and loved her family.

Survivors include her sisters, Carolyn Weathers Culp of Chattanooga, TN, and Helen Weathers Hardy of Barnesville; nephew, Dr. Chris Culp (Lynn) of Honolulu Hawaii, nieces, Cheryl Schenck of Decatur, and Joanna Singletary (Anthony) of Griffin, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a niece, Gaye Hardy Kerley.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 Wednesday at Lamar Memory Gardens with

Dr. William A. McKoy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00 before the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions be made in memory of Miss Marianna Weathers to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 798, Griffin, GA 30224.
