Mrs. Marion Fondren Striger Tarver, age 88, of Jackson passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 in a Macon Healthcare facility. Mrs. Tarver was born in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Mr. Robert Mason Striger and to the late Mrs. Margaret Fondren Striger. She was a third grade school teacher and a member of the Barnesville Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her Daughters - Peggy (& Robert) Johnson ; & Anne Ridgeway ; a Son – Hugh Dow Thompson III (& Tammy) ; a Twin Sister – Margaret LaRue ; 6 Grandchildren ; 5 Great Grandchildren ; & several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Marion Tarver will be conducted Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend M.J. Gardner officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday afternoon (11/20) at 3:30pm in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 12 Noon until the service hour. The pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Ben Johnson, David Johnson, Noah Ridgeway, Robert Johnson and James Brookshire.
