Martha Long Rhodes, 91, died November 28, 2015. Martha was born May 7, 1924 in Macon, Georgia to the late Wiley Clifford and Willa Roberts Long. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John L. Rhodes, Jr., and her son, John L. Rhodes, III.

Surviving are her daughter, Lyn Rhodes Teems (Ken) of McDonough; grandchildren, Cliff Teems (Tamalyn) of Augusta, and Meghann Buchanan (Charlie) of Lawrenceville; great-grandchildren, Bria and Ansley Buchanan; and her sister, Jacqueline Long Odom of Macon.

Martha was a graduate of Miller High in 1943 and attended Wesleyan. She worked for the Macon Telegraph before she married Johnny in 1946. They moved to Atlanta and lived there until after Johnny retired, then they moved to Jackson, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the parlor at Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Ave., Macon, Georgia, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
