Marty Quinn Jackson, age 37, of Barnesville passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. Marty was a native of Bibb County, and had lived in Barnesville since 2005, when he became an Officer for the Barnesville Police Department.

Mr. Jackson had previously worked as an Officer for the Montezuma Police Department. He was a member of the Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon, and was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Mr. Roy Jackson, and by his Paternal Step-Grandfather, Mr. James Turner.

Survivors include: His wife - Kelanie Jackson of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter - Abigail Jackson of Barnesville ; 2 Sons - Aaron Jackson and Aidan Jackson, both of Barnesville ; Mother and Step-father - Sharon & Michael Collins of Macon ; Father and Step-Mother - Eddie & Iantha Jackson of Jonesboro ; 2 Brothers - Tony Collins of Macon & Travis (& Hillary) Jackson of Henry County ; 2 Sisters - Jennifer (& Joe) Hopson of Jones County and Emily (& Brad) Jordan of Henry County.

Funeral Services for Mr. Marty Jackson will be conducted Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11 O'Clock in the Gymnasium of The First Baptist Church of Barnesville with Reverend Mark Hudgins, Reverend Michael Barnes, and Reverend Michael Stone officiating. Interment will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm in the Henson Cemetery in Twiggs County. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville on Friday evening (8-14) from 6pm until 8pm.
