Mrs. Mary Lois Guffin, of Stockbridge, GA, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Henry Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1948 in Rome, GA to the late Willie and Mattie Hass Cromer. She was an avid doll collector and was known for her early morning phone calls to family and friends. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Guffin is survived by her companion of 22 years, David Smith (Shorty), of Stockbridge; daughters, Sherry Greer (Kam), of Jackson, Ann Guffin (Ray), of Griffin; son, George Guffin (fiancé, Kathy), of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Clint Anglin, of Griffin, MaryAnn Anglin, of Jonesboro, Jennifer Greer and Brent Greer, both of Jackson; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Hudgins, of Rome; brothers, John Cromer, of McDonough, Tom Cromer, of High Falls, Beaver Cromer, of McDonough; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Grier Guffin, and sisters, Margaret Green and Lanis Anderson. Funeral services for Mary Lois Guffin will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at New Hope Baptist Church in McDonough with Rev. John Cromer officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Tuesday evening and at the church Wednesday from 1:30 until the hour of service.
