Mrs. Mary Ann Haywood Hayes, age 81, formerly of Barnesville passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 in a Henry County Healthcare Facility. A native of High Point, North Carolina, she lived in Lamar County for most of her life, until moving to Henry County just a few years ago. Daughter of the late Mr. Denver Davis Haywood and the late Mrs. Annie Laura Perkins Haywood, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Grady Carl Hayes. In her younger years, Mrs. Hayes had worked with The William Carter Company, but had been a Home Maker for close to 40 years. Mrs. Hayes was a member of The First Baptist Church of Barnesville.

Survivors include: Her Sister - Barbara Haywood Moxon of Milner ; 2 Nieces - Laura (& Steve) Trice of Milner ; & Lorna (& Winford) Stroup of Maceo, KY ; 2 Nephews - David (& Barbara) Moxon of Lewisport, KY ; & Daniel Moxon of Milner ; & A number of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Ann Hayes will be conducted Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Brad Banks officiating. Interment will be Private. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 1 O'Clock until the service hour.
