Mrs. Mary Alice Ledford Starrett, age 73, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Mary was born on Friday, September 19, 1952, in Jackson, Georgia to the late Fred Manford Ledford and the late Alma Bryant Ledford. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Barney Starrett; daughter, Samantha Coleman; brother, Fred Ledford; sisters, Dot Yarbrough and Betty Franklin. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Marie Beckhorn (Darcy); son, Carlton Coleman (Amanda); son-in-law, Robert Johnson; grandchildren, Kayla Franz, Joseph Lester, Felicia Smith, Lillie Coleman, Rose Coleman, Angel Coleman; great-grandchildren, Ezra Smith, Raelyn Lester, Ryder Lester; brothers, Buck Ledford (Teresa), Clifford Ledford; sister, Jo Ann Woodruff; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Starrett will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Flovilla North Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday evening, July 23, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
