Mrs. Mary Elsie Sanford Walker, age 93, of Concord, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Mary was born Sunday, August 10, 1930, in Anniston, Alabama to the late Mr. Monroe Larkin Sanford and the late Lavada Christine Jones Sanford. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Jackson "Jack" Walker; son, Robert Walker; and daughter, Wilma Miller. She was a member of The Ole Country Church in Stockbridge and loved being around her family.

Mary is survived by her children, Mike and Lori Walker, John Walker, Cindy and Dennis Zabala, Doug and Lesa Walker; grandchildren, Benton and Paige Belk, Beth and Chris Scarboro, Glenn and Katie Walker, Kellie and Jon Stewart, Julie and Mike Hughes, John Michael and Brooke Walker, Justin Walker, Monica and Adam Roberson, Michael and Taylor Zabala, Christina and George Gilliam, Matt and Chelsey Walker; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Walker will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 15, 2024, with visitation from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
