Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Awtrey Williams, age 81, of Jackson, GA, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born on Friday, June 6, 1936 in Memphis, TN to the late O. Chester Awtrey and the late Georgia May Jones Awtrey.

Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Ken and Brenda Williams of Jackson, Kathy and John Varner of Florida, Paul and Rachel Williams of Villa Rica, GA; 6 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Awtrey; sisters, Edith Sullivan and Leila Clark; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mary Williams will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Pastor Argin Floyd officiating. In lieu of flowers, it was Mary's request that contributions be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, 1304 Barnesville Road, Griffin, GA 30224.
