Mr. Matt Ransom “Randy” Ward III, age 59, of Flovilla, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Randy was born on Wednesday, February 15, 1967, in Rockledge, Florida to the late Matt Ransom Ward Jr and the late Easter Wilkerson Ward. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Ward. Randy served proudly in the United States Air Force. He worked for AT&T for 29 years and was a member of Covington Church of Christ. Randy was a gun enthusiast, liked motorcycles, especially the Honda Super Hawk and Honda Fury, and always enjoyed a good cigar. Disc golf was a fun game he enjoyed, and he was a big fan of Atlanta United Soccer and Florida State Seminoles.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Jennifer Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Jenna and Dustin Downs; sons, Matt Ward IV, Carter Ward; grandchildren, Jack Downs, John Downs, Dani Downs; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Tish Ward; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service for Mr. Randy Ward will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Brother Buck Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Flovilla North Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
