Mrs. Mattie Rachel Thackston House, age 79, of Milner passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 in a Barnesville Healthcare Facility. A native of Henry County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Berry Owen Thackston and the late Mrs. Alice Mae Byous Thackston. She was also preceded in death by her companion and life partner, Merrill H. Johnson, by her 3 brothers, and by 4 sisters. Mrs. House was employed in the kitchen at Heritage Inn Nursing Home. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. House is survived by: 4 Children – Joan House Samples (& David) of Milner, William Dewey House (& Connie) of Thomaston, William Edward Hardiman of Locust Grove, & Mary Frances House LeBleu (& David) of Utah ; 15 Grandchildren ; 40 Great Grandchildren ; 2 Great Great Grandchildren ; and numerouse other relatives.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mattie Rachel Thackston House will be conducted on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
