Mr. Merritt Sykes Taylor, age 75, of Barnesville passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at his Home. Mr. Taylor was born in Barnesville to the late Mr. Samuel Taylor and to the late Mrs. Laryn "Shine" Taylor. He worked for Georgia Power , was a member of Rock Springs Church, and a graduate of Gordon Military School. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his Brothers, Lorie Taylor and Ed Taylor.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Merritt Taylor ; 5 Sons - Scott Taylor ; Mark Taylor ; Brad Taylor ; Sam Taylor ; & Steve (& Jackie) Merritt ; a Daughter - Vickie (& Jeff) Sharpton ; 8 Grandchildren ; & 4 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Services for Mr. Merritt Sykes Taylor will be conducted on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 4 O' Clock in Greenwood Cemetery with the Dr. Benny Tate officiating. The Family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 2pm until 4pm.
