Mr. Michael Shane Hardy, age 54, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Shane was born on Monday, December 16, 1968, in Griffin, Georgia to Kerry Van Hardy and Suzanne Rawn Hardy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Juanita Hardy; former wife, Iris Renee Chumbley. Shane enjoyed hunting, fishing, and eating strawberry pound cake. His favorite food was Dollar General brand thick and creamy mac n cheese. Shane was an avid cornhole player. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Shane is survived by his children and spouses, Chris and Brandy Hardy, Katy and Rocky Leist, Brandon and Christian Hardy, Bayli Hardy, Braylen Coursey, Aiden Hammer, Bryce Hammer; grandchildren, Caspian Hardy, Rebecca Carlyle, Micah Leist, Gracie Leist, Kaylee Leist, Madilyn Leist, Everleigh Walker, Raeleigh Walker, Mathis Hardy, Paytin Hardy; parents, Kerry and Sue Hardy; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Donna Boyd; sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Lee Naulta; Shawn Coursey, mother of Brandon, Bayli, Braylen, Aiden, and Bryce; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Shane Hardy will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Morris officiating.  Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
