Mr. Michael George Miller, age 81, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at his home in Barnesville.

Michael was born Monday, July 14, 1941, in Chambersburg, Pa. to the late George and Marie Miller. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Jean S. Miller, of 48 years; brother, James (Jim) Miller; sisters, Barbara Ruff, Helen Mellott; grandson, Michael J. Vining. Michael was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. He helped with Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes at church every year. Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army and retired from the State of Georgia, Dept. of Public Safety, GSP.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Marie Miller Bennett (Kevin); granddaughters, Anna and Vanessa; stepchildren, Tommy Vining (Vickie), Mike Vining (Deborah), and Lucy Thomas (Eddie); brothers, Max Miller, Carl Miller (Clarabel); sisters, Kay Kauffman, Mary Swope, Joyce Mellott, and Pam Saylor; sister-in-law, Linda S. Slagle (Ken), 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mr. Miller will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Barnesville with Reverend Jason Teal and Joshua Rainbolt officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
