Mr. Michael Lyn Smith, 62, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Michael was born on Tuesday, April 7, 1959 in Griffin, Georgia to Robert Smith, Jr. and Melinda Bass Smith.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, and his loving wife of 35 years, Wanda Smith. An avid outdoorsman, Michael loved to hunt and fish as often as he could. He adored all of his grandchildren and was a provider for his family.

Michael is survived by his children, Michael Lyn Smith, Jr. (Maranda), Joshua Smith (Ashley), and Ashley Cauthen (Antonio); 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother, Melinda B. Smith; brother, Robert Smith (Vickie); sister, Rhonda Merritt (Mitchell); and a host of extended family also survive.

A graveside service for Mr. Michael Lyn Smith will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Alex Johnson officiating.

The family will greet friends and loved ones on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home.
