Ms. Mildred Irene Faulkner Corley, age 81, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Mildred was born on Friday, December 29, 1944, Barnesville, Georgia, to the late John William Faulkner and the late Martha Johnson Corley. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James Merrill Corley, and her son, James Arnold Corley.

Mildred was a member of Rock Springs Church. She was a loving wife, mama, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved the Lord and family with all her heart. She also loved family devotionals. Mildred enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and also enjoyed putting puzzles together. She had a love for babies and worked in the nursery at New Life Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Kasandra Thomas, Amelia (Paul) Newham, Melissa Walraven; grandchildren and their spouses, Jamison (Alana) Corley, Thomas (Mychaela) Hoard, Nathan Newham, Hannah Newham; great grandson, Tanner Corley; brother, Charles Faulkner; sister, Frances Lowe, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Ms. Mildred Corley will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Williams- Westbury Funeral Home with Pastor Audie Wells officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
