Mrs. Mildred Moore Jackson, 79, of Barnesville passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her home. She was born February 26, 1935 in Barnesville, daughter of the late Donovan and Sara Mann Moore. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church having formerly sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served in the nursery.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jenny Jackson of Locust Grove and Edward and Allyson Jackson of Brunswick; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Derek Dawson of Meansville; grandchildren, Ashley Jackson and his wife, Tina, of Jackson, Scott Jackson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Oreon Jackson and Daniel Jackson of Brunswick and Natalie Morris of Meansville; great-grandchildren, Charlton and Chaz Jackson. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Moore, Julian Moore, Winston Moore and Larry Moore.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Bud Gleaton officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will be at her home, and will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
