Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Faulkner Mitchell, age 90, of Macon, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Coliseum Hospital in Macon. Mrs. Mitchell was born on Tuesday, March 23, 1926 in Jackson, GA to the late Thomas Henry Faulkner and the late Fannie Ward Faulkner. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed doing hand crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wiley Mitchell; seven brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her children, Rachel and Cecil Cason, Wylie Kyle Mitchell; grandchildren, Wanda Smith, Carla White, David Cason, Tammy Perry, Wiley Mitchell, Jr., Everett Mitchell, Phillip Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Mitchell will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Rex Odom officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.
