Obituary

Mr. Milton Davis Glass, age 91, of Barnesville, GA, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Upson Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Glass was born in Russellville, Alabama on October 6, 1926 to the late Milton Gholson Glass and the late Fannie Velma Campbell Glass. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps for 2 years and later joined the United States Army and served for 20 years, where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was stationed in China during World War II. Following his service to our country, he worked with the Randolph School in Huntsville, AL. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and went on many mission trips with the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. Milton was a member of Barnesville Rotary Club, a Master Gardner and a former member of Kiwanis. He was a member of Barnesville First United Methodist Church.


Mr. Glass is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sara Dunbar Glass; children, Charles Glass, Sara Ann Jernigan and her husband, Robbie, William Glass and his wife, Frances, James Glass and his wife, Gina;  grandchildren, Gholson Glass, Spencer Glass, Rowan Glass, Carl (Dee) Jernigan, Alex Glass, Luisa Glass; sisters, Ann Richardson and Frances Bowling; many nieces and nephews, and two devoted caregivers, Rose Hugh and San Dumas.


Funeral services for Mr. Milton Glass will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnesville First United Methodist Church with Reverend Linda Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
