Mr. Mitchell Connell “Mitch” Buice, age 70, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Mitch was born on Saturday, August 21, 1956, in Barnesville, Georgia, to the late Edward Franklin Buice and the late Agnes Piper Buice. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Joanne Buice.

Mitch loved gospel music and going out to eat with his special friend, Frieda. Mitch was known in Lamar County and surrounding counties for Mitch’s Automotive, where he would work, work, and work. Mitch was loved by many people and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his son, Cody Buice Gilkeson; sisters, Mona Faulkner (Bob), Gwen Gordon (Bernie Polselli); brother, Mike Buice, special friend, Frieda, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Mitch Buice will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Lamar County Fine Arts Center, 100 Burnette Road, Barnesville, Georgia, with Reverend Garth Forster and Reverend Jacob Smith officiating Interment to follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Lamar County Fine Arts Center.
