Mrs. Ola Geneva Stancil Hoogerheyde, age 79, of Jackson, GA died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Rockdale Health Care in Conyers. She was born March 8, 1932 in Cumming, GA to the late Eli Vandiver and Nancy Caroline Seabolt Stancil. Geneva retired from K Mart following 30+ years of service. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, flowers and loved her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hoogerheyde is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Ken Nicholson, of Jackson; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Alexia Sandow, of Snellville, GA, Ed and Karen Sandow, of Griffin; 7 grandchildren, Danny, Shannon, Jenifer, Jimmy, Nicole, Lee, and Neil; 10 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Gerry and Mack Lummus, of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Marilyn Stancil, of Cumming; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Sandow, and husband, Anthony Hoogerheyde, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services Mrs. Ola Geneva Hoogerheyde will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rudy Mangham officiating. A private interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening.
