Mrs. Margaret Opal Harmon Greene, age 64, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Greene was born April 12, 1949 in Butler, Georgia to the late William Jasper Harmon and the late Margaret Louise Bodiford Harmon. Opal worked as a manager at Trucks, Inc. She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Andy Smith of Jackson, Georgia and Brandy and Justin Phillips of Jackson, Georgia; grandchildren, Maddie Parson, Molly Parson, Lucas Phillips and Lily Phillips; sister, Barbara Corley of Thomaston, Georgia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Greene will be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Stark United Methodist Church with Reverend Frank Brock and Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m..
