Otha Marion Brown, 81, of Yatesville, GA passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Upson Regional Medical Center.

A native of Greenwood, SC Mr. Brown was born  on Sunday, May 18, 1941 to the late Obie Clarence Brown and Mary Ella Jones Brown. He had been a resident of this area most of his life and was a graduate of Gordon High School.He was a veteran of the US Army and prior to retirement was employed by Lamar (Southern Rivers) EMC as a engineering assistant and also was a chicken farmer. Mr. Brown was a good person who loved his family and was considered the "go to" person. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Helen Brown; son Derek Brown and daughter and son in law Traci and Steve Warren. His sister Loretha Milner and granddaughters Elizabeth, Peyton, and Rebecca Warren and Kyliegh and Madison Brown . Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Otha Marion Brown will be conducted at 11 AM Friday, June24, 2022 at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Reverends Ryan Christopher and Billy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM Friday until the service hour.
