Mr. Paul Yancy, of Jackson, GA, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011. He was born October 3, 1921 in Covington, GA to the late George A. and Emma Harris Yancy. He enjoyed fishing, farming, telling stories, and loved spending time with his family. He graduated from Heard Mixon School in Covington in 1938. Paul is survived by his wife of 55 yrs, Carolyn Bradley Yancy; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Rhonda Yancy, William and Melissa Yancy, all of Jackson, 7 grandchildren, Angie, Jennifer, Daniel, Jessica, Joey, Courtney, McKenzie; 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2011 in the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Morgan officiating. Interment will be at Stodghill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday evening.
