Mr. Preston Mickle, Sr., age 81, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on

Wednesday, April 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Preston was born on Monday, July 17, 1944, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Luther Mack Mickle and the late Vera Maebell Corkren Mickle. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ralph, Steve, David, Peggy, Betty and Sam.

Preston was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served in the United States Marines Corp for 4 years.He was known for his love of God, Family and country. He loved his grandbabies very much; he will be missed.

Preston is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rhonda Mickle; sons, Preston Mickle, Jr. (Tiffany), Jason Mickle (Shawn), Adam Mickle; daughter, Meagan Dawson (Caleb); 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby, Danny, Virginia, Sue, Benny; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Preston Mickle will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Willimas -Westbury Funeral Home, with Pastor David Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M at Williams- Westbury Funeral Home.
