Donnie was born on Friday, June 2, 1933, in Jackson, Georgia to the late Thomas William Leverrett and Flora Cook Leverrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, T.W. Leverrett and Herschel Leverrett. Donnie was a great man of faith, and he loved the Lord and his church. He was a proud member of Macedonia Baptist for 92 years. Donnie faithfully served in the United States Army for four years. He was a hard worker, great provider and loved his wife and family dearly. Donnie was always a man of his word and was well respected in his community. He was known for his kind and loving heart.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosemary Leverrett; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimmy and Ricky McMichael, Krissy and Carlton Anderson, Kathy Leverrett, Angel and Larry King; grandchildren, Caleb Barnes, Brittany Miles, Kendra Dills, Candace Swafford, Ricky McMichael, Jr. and Allie, Carlton Anderson, Jr., Ashley and Danny Clark, Alexis and Tanner Baughman, Brandon King, Briana and Will Davis; great-grandchildren, Hunter Barnes, Jaydace Swafford, Jordan Appling, Kaydee Rose Watson, Kinley Grace Clark, Kason Ray Clark, Layla White, Christian Miles, Savannah Miles, Lana Miles, Hudson Miles, Landon Miles, Hayden Grimes, Max Peters, Maverick McMichael, Major McMichael, Malachai McMichael; sister, Jeanette Briscoe; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Donnie Leverrett will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Carl Reimold and Pastor Doug McBee officiating. Entombment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. before the service at the church.
