Mrs. Ramona Helen Powell Blackmon, age 84, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Blackmon was born on Thursday, December 28, 1933 to the late William D. Powell and the late Mildred Boyd Powell. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Cecil Blackmon; brother, Richard Powell; sister, Hazel Powell Hammond. Ramona worked for the William Carter Company in Quality Control and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Ramona is survived by her children, Steve & Jeannette Blackmon and Marla Blackmon; grandchildren, Joshua Blackmon and his wife, Emily, and Matthew Blackmon; great-granddaughter, Olivia Mae Blackmon; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Ramona Powell Blackmon will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Blackmon will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
