Mr. Raymond Neil Rooks, age 71, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at his home in Barnesville, Georgia.

Neil was born on Sunday, April 20, 1952, in Leeds, Alabama to the late William James Rooks and Mildred Briscoe Rooks. He was truly a man of God as he was an ordained minister and even had his very own church. Neil also served in the Army National Guard and was with the Barnesville fire department Captain for 25 years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and first wife, Denise Rooks.

Neil is survived by his loving wife, of 12 years, Josie Rooks; children and their spouses, Shanda Schmidt (Steven), Kevin Rooks (Nikee), Jeremy Rooks (Allison), Nathaniel Rooks (Kaitlin), Bethany English (Jeffery), David Rooks, Jordan Dominguez (Daniel); step-daughter and spouse, Tammie Shackelford (Mike); 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; brother and spouses, Floyd Rooks (Billie Jane), Ricky Rooks (Gail), Wade Rooks (Nancy).

A Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Raymond Neil Rooks will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 4:00 P.M. at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor David Dawson officiating.
