Mr. Rickey Lewis Alford, age 66, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
Rickey was born on Saturday, March 17, 1956 to the late Lloyd Alford and to the late Sadie Marie Sharp Alford. In addition to his parents, Rickey was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Byrd Alford; brother, Stanley Sharp; sister, Barbara Strickland; brother-in-law, Keith Norris. Rickey started his day by reading his Bible every morning always putting God first. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, mountain men show, as well as westerns. Rickey had a sense of humor and never met a stranger he was always willing to help someone in need. Rickey also loved guitar and teaching others how to play. He loved his family and friends.
Rickey is survived by his 3 children and their spouses; Misty McBroom (Steven), Melissa Blackwood (Jim Flora), James Duffell (Cindy); Life partner of 6 1/2 years, Jean Willis; Grandchildren and their spouses, Stevie-Lynn, Austin & (Sara) fiance', Shelby, Jordan & (Jonathan), Shalee, Zac (Haedyn); 5 Great-Grandchildren; sister, Tanya Norris; Nieces & Nephews.
Memorial Service for Mr. Rickey Lewis Alford will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
