Mr. Ricky Lamar Thurston, age 67, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Jackson. He was born on Tuesday, July 26, 1949 in Jackson, GA to the late Claude Lamar Thurston and the late Beatrice Odessa Hardy Thurston. Ricky proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran. Before becoming disabled, he was a mechanic with Collins Trucking Company.

Ricky is survived by his sisters, June Lane, Norma Lunsford, Brenda Wagner, Debbie Posey; brothers, Kenneth and Sandra Thurston, Tony Thurston, Donnie and Darlene Thurston; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
