Obituary

Mr. Robert Earl Bentley, age 74, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.



Robert was born on Friday, March 03, 1950, in Blount County, Alabama, to the late Elzie Monroe Bentley WW2 Veteran with medal of Honor, and the late Ruby Statham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bentley; sisters, Sybil Barnett, Barbara Jones.



Robert was a terrific person with a fun-loving spirit. He was a hero to his children, grandchildren and a great provider.


Buddy loved gardening, yard-saling and simply sitting on his front porch. Family and friends were always his priority and loved them very much.



Robert is survived by his daughter, Mary Ladage (Martijn); sons, Mark Bentley (Kerri), Christopher Bentley (Stephanie); daughter, Ashley Bentley; grandchildren, Melissa McDonald, Danielle Meadows (Jake), Corey Mitchell (Caroline), Brian Bentley (Victoria), Shelby Bentley, Emily Bentley, Nick Bentley, Abby Bentley, Bryan Bentley


(Rachel); great grandchildren, Star Meadows, Hunter Meadows, Andrew Bentley, Eli Bentley, Anneliese Bentley, Adeline Bentley; brother, Jimmy Bentley; sister, Sue Young.



A Graveside Service for Mr. Robert Earl Bentley will be held on Saturday, October 05, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Lamar Memory Gardens with Pastor David Dawson officiating.
