Mr. Robert Asbury Smith, Jr., age 70, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Robert was born on Thursday, October 13, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Robert Asbury Smith, Sr. and the late Alberta Morrison Culley Smith.

Robert loved his family very much and will be missed dearly. He enjoyed going arrowhead hunting, nature and gardening. He loved war history, reading and westerns movies.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Asbury “Trey” Smith III; daughter Cassie Aleshia Jennings (Thomas); 9 grandchildren; sister, Lane Farmer (Mark); stepmother, Sally McClendon (Tom).

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
