Mr. Robert Archie Welch, age 77, of Barnesville passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Welch was a native of Pelham, but had made his home in Barnesville for a number of years. Son of the late Mr. Archie Welch and the late Mrs. Pauline Welch, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Anthony Welch ; by a daughter, Vicki Simmons ; and by a half-brother, David Howell. Mr. Welch was an Over the Road Truck Driver with Coca-Cola, USA in Atlanta. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include: 1 Son - Benny Welch (& Nancy) of Barnesville ; 3 Daughters - Rebecca Jean McClarey (& Stanley) of New Jersey ; Linda Welch of Ocala, FL ; & Kay Welch of Barnesville ; 1 Half-Brother - Paul Dennis Howell of Dover, FL ; & Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, & other relatives.

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Archie Welch will be conducted from the Graveside on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 2:30pm in Fredonia Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 12 Noon until 2pm.
