Rodney Gene Payne, age 51, of Jackson, GA, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1962, to the late Robert Payne, Sr. and the late Gloria Jean Fuller Payne Moon. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Payne, Jr., and step-father, James Moon.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Rooks Payne, of Jackson; 2 sons, R. J. Payne, Jr. and Tony Payne, both of Jackson; a sister, Penny Norsworthy, of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Rodney Payne will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery.
