Mr. Roland Virgil Lee, age 79, of Jackson, GA, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at his residence. He was born on December 14, 1933 in Atlanta, GA to the late Virgil Mayo Lee and the late Vivian Lee Fincher. He served in the U.S. Army. Roland was a retired guidance counselor with the Butts County School System and served 14 years on the Butts County Board of Education. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Roland is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Ann Lee, of Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, Larkin and Karen Lee, of Williamson; 6 grandchildren, Matt Lee, Jackson Lee, Kaitlyn Gilbert, Caleb Gilbert, Kaison Gilbert, and Josh Lee; sister, Lynn Clements; and beloved caregiver, Mary Marsh.

Funeral services for Roland Lee will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church where he will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Reverend Lane Sanders will officiate. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening.
